Question: Is Christ God, according to the Apostle Paul?
Apostle Paul, an Apostle of Christ called after Christ ascended to Heaven, wrote several letters to the early Christians which became part of the Holy Bible. He preached not only about the Church, and the Salvation, but most importantly about Christ. So, to clarify the truth about Christ whether He is God or not, let us ask Apostle Paul about His stand or teaching about Christ.
Is Christ God? Is He a man? Is He a God-man?
So, this is what we can learn from the Bible....
Answer: Christ is a man in I Timothy 2:5 Douay Reihms
1TIM 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator of God and men, the man Christ Jesus:
Reflection of the Truth in I Timothy 2:5
On this verse, it is clear what Apostle Paul said. According to Him, Christ is a man, by saying "one mediator of God and men, the man Christ Jesus."The Bible clearly tells us that for Apostle Paul, there is one God. But his God is not Christ because he distinguished that Christ is the mediator between God and men. And Christ who is the mediator is said to be a man.
If we will say that Christ is the God, then who is that God whom Christ is mediating before the men. Remember that God is only one, and He is the one being mediated by Christ from the men.
